As I walked in to the St. Paul Masonic Center yesterday for the installation of officers for the newly chartered Gen. Douglas MacArthur Lodge No. 352, I saw many brothers including Past Grand Master Gerald R. Rhoads in work clothes with shovels, rakes and hoes at the ready. They were embarking on an ambitious landscape beautification project at the Masonic Center.Our ritual tells us that our Instituation is said to be supported by WISDOM, STRENGTH and BEAUTY; because it is necessary that there should be Wisdom to contrive, Strength to support and Beauty to adorn, all great and important undertakings.
The current project clearly shows the foresight of the brothers to make their facility more appealing, the commitment to stick with it until the job is done, and the aesthetic improvement, which will make the St. Paul Masonic Center a more welcoming facility.
